Would you switch health insurance plans with these factors?

without comments

- Chosen by Voters Health Care Act does not change your current health insurance unless your employer switches companies or changes plans. So what is the total deductible in the new plan compared to the old? And what is the premium for both? You only mentioned the difference and I cant give an educated opinion without the numbers. 8 months ago 75% 3 Votes

I was recently in a car accident but no health insurance ?

without comments

- Chosen by Voters 1.) Depends of your friend was at fault or not.2.) Get a lawyer AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.If your friend was not at fault, your lawyer will be going after the person who's fault it is (their insurance company). If it was your friends fault, your lawyer will be going after their insurance company. If your friend did not have auto insurance then your lawyer will be going after them personally. Get it done or go bankrupt. 2 years ago 50% 2 Votes

Can I drop my dependents from my health insurance without a "qualifying event"?

without comments

- Chosen by Voters Yes, it's a rule under IRS Sec. 104, Cafeteria plans. Below is a link to the list of qualifying events. It might help. The rule was made to prevent employees from not signing up for insurance unless something happened, and then signing up to cover just that event and then dropping the insurance again, etc..Donhttp://mtnhealthinsurance.com Source(s): http://mtnhealthinsurance.com/index.php?pageName=IRSSection125-4 3 years ago 100% 1 Vote

Anyone have health insurance that does not cover testing/treatment?

without comments

Pretty much all health insurance companies cover this. It's just a matter of being on the right plan that actually covers it. I'm guessing you're on group. Ask your director of human resources if the company offers other plans than the one you are on. Source(s): http://www.coloradohealthinsuranceshop.com 2 years ago We are on a private individual plan. Most private plans don't offer any type of coverage for testing/treatment for it. Group insurance covered by an employer most likely carries it. We are self employed so are on our own. Thanks for the info.

- Chosen by Voters If you are in the United States, people who have their own businesses can purchase group health insurance from insurance brokers who specialize in helping independent business owners join a health plan. New bill to be signed making people go to jail for no health insurance?

without comments

- Chosen by Voters That initial idea came from Pelosi and was just flat out dumb. The only part that may be even close to that is if you fail to pay the fines levied against you for not carrying insurance the tax code comes into effect. If you willfully avoid taxes, yes you can be jailed or fined some more.To that point:"Prison terms are relatively rare. Barthold notes that in 2008 a total of 498 persons were incarcerated for federal tax crimes, while the Internal Revenue Service assessed 392,000 civil penalties for inaccurate tax returns. Imprisonment would require the government to prove, beyond a reasonable doubt, that the tax evasion was "willful" and the accused had the ability to pay."In other words, no judge in their right mind is going to enforce prison time for someone who honestly can't pay.You can like or dislike the bill all you want, but that's the fact on the jail time. I offer no opinion on the final bill here. Source(s): http://factcheck.org/2009/11/imprisoned-… 2 years ago 33% 2 Votes

What Health Insurance Company Will Take Me?

without comments

- Chosen by Voters Nobody here will be able to help you because not all companies write policies in every state. Also, any one company will have different underwriting requirements in different states. In addition, each company will have several policies from which to choose and they may decline with one policy while they may accept with another policy. Companies that will accept diabetes will also look at other factors, such as hypertension, high cholesterol, cardiac conditions, height and weight, and the length of time the diabetes has been under control. Many of the companies that will accept someone with diabetes will also charge you a higher premium or may not cover the diabetes for a period of time. You need to visit a local agent that works with all of the major companies in your area. The agent will know which companies will accept you and on what terms. There is no extra charge using an agent. Source(s): Independent Agent 2 years ago 67% 2 Votes

Is there such a thing as Supplemental Mental Health Insurance?

without comments

- Chosen by Voters Your only other option would be th see if you can get him help through your local mental health center. They can find help for lowincome mentally ill folks. However if you have insurance you may be out of luck….. he may have to cut back on the number of visits he has each month….. Insurance companies often limit the number of visits a year you can have to a therapist (mine limits it to 20)….. so you may want to call your insurance company and get a better picture of theor mental health benefits… often they are completely different than medical benefits. For example, my therapist is not treated as a specialist but like a physical therapist would be……. smaller copay but limited visits every year….. 2 years ago 38% 3 Votes
